Taipa Speedway is I believe the most Northern Speedway in New Zealand. Taipa is a small town with a gorgous Beach & this speedway about 1 mile out of town.

It's a tough place to shoot because the viewing area is behind the fence, rather than above it ( though the viewing area goes a fair way up ).

The cool thing is you can park your car in the viewing area & it's nice & relaxed.

Because it's a small venue there were not many cars & they've laid new dirt, so the track looked to my totally unexpert eye as a bit slow for the first race ( I got feedback that they had a water pump failure, I've no doubt with a few more meetings under it's belt it will be very fast ).
