Shakespeare Beach

It was cold and windy, but the sun put in an appearance for the first time in days. I visited Shakespeare Beach, to the west of Dover Harbour, where I watched the waves crashing against the shore, and listened to the shingle screaming as it was smashed around by the sea. I followed the beach around to where the iron steps lead over the adjacent railway track, getting caught short by a wave on my return, giggling as I looked down at the foamy water swirling around my knees. I took a stroll along the Admiralty Pier, but was soon driven back by the waves breaking on the structure - I don't mind getting wet, but my camera doesn't like it one bit!

ive lived in dover for 37 years played my childhood out on that beech your pictures bring back so many fond memories thanks brett

Lovely pictures of Shakespeare beach, this used to be my playground when I was growing up, it changed somewhat but is still very nice.
