Could the UK/GB have resisted speaking German without our help? There are many who need our help and money even now. I would be fine with isolationism, but those we would turn our backs on wouldn't. The reason VietNam became "VietNam" was that it was fought by politicians, just like every other war we have been involved in since WWII. Wars should be fought by soldiers, not politicians.

Once again Americans have to be talked down to by some self serving pompous Euro with the famous Euro attitude. It wasn't all that long ago that American men and American money keep all of Europe for getting Goose stepped into oblivion and shortly there after It was Americans again that kept Europe from becoming part of the USSR If it was up to me I would recall every American troop home and let the world police itself and if anyone needs help they can call France and Good luck.
