On the White Cliffs of Dover

I've been dying to take out my new camera, but the weather had been against me; on the first day that wasn't totally grey, I took a walk on the cliffs.

dear serena:

i happened to have come across your website a bit late in life........ i guess better late than never ! i must say - some really amazing photographs. i was in england for 2 and a 1/2 years to finish my education, based in leicester, and during my stay did travel fairly extensively. dover, the lakes, parts of cornwall, skegness, isle of wight, etc. etc. i really enjoyed seeing these pictures and they brought back a lot of memories. i too did photography till black and white, but the college in the isle of wight closed down. they were offering a course from mallinsons.

Great Gallery of photos of Dover.. I realize now that I need to go back to Dover... Been there twice, one to tour the castle in the rain and the other to board a ferry.. Never enought time to stop and look at all the beauty there.. Well done!

It's been the best part of a long time since I last walked the cliffs - the mid 40's in fact. Your pictures, particularly of the sky, brought back a lot of memories of when I was a young man. Thank you.
