Located just northwest of the Louisiana capital, Baton Rouge, Pointe Coupee is one of the older settlements in Louisiana. It is in an area where rolling hills begin, unlike the below sea level, flat ground near New Orleans. It is a very beautiful and scenic area and the False River adds much beauty to it. It is a mix of the old and the new and historically a treasure.
