Mardi Gras in New Orleans in 2008

View as a Slideshow to have your own parade.
The parade photos in this gallery were taken mainly on Napoleon Avenue in uptown New Orleans, the 20 per cent of the City that did not flood in Hurricane Katrina thus had a more speedy recovery.
Parades following this route roll and march for at least 8 miles.
The parades are the Krewe of Mid City, the Krewe of Thoth and the Krewe of Bacchus. A Krewe is a private organization and all expenses for a parade are paid by the members of the Krewe.
The house party is on Jena Street, one block off of Napoleon.
