It was a very cold winter and the dry, cold air stayed with us throughout March. Some days we did not get out of the 40's, very unusual for southeast Louisiana.
However, it did not deter the eagles from tending to their eaglets and raising some beautiful ones, nor did it stop the spring flowers from bursting forth or the egrets from mating and laying their eggs.
