Even though the locks are closed, water from the swollen River is still seeping through the needles allowing birds and men to fish. These men were either fishing for bait or for shrimp. Farther back in the Spillway crawfish was plentiful for the catching.
In a couple of weeks this area will be mostly dry except for the few small ponds.
