The Mississippi River is on the left of the Structure.
Thousands of people have streamed to the levee and the Spillway to see the rising water. On the Spillway side where the water current is treacherous but not yet too deep, many people are fishing and hauling in beautiful, huge fish. One can see the fish tumbling into the Spillway as billions of gallons a minute of the muddy Mississippi rush through the locks.
