Newly Painted Boat House and Return of Spanish Moss

New Orleans City Park

Hurricane Katrina blew the Spanish Moss out of New Orleans and it rode on the winds all the way to Jackson, Mississippi (some four hours away) where residents were surprised to see their houses, cars and trees blanketed with moss.
Last year there was a little moss on the trees in City Park but this year it has grown heavily. It is even covering the crepe myrtles and the cypresses heavily where it once saved that honor only for the live oaks.

The red boathouse adds a nice punch to the scene.

I would lve to see this from a boat eye view with the red boat house and reflection framed by the arched bridge!

Beautiful scene! Nothing like the Spanish moss! Definately a "South" thing!
