Why is the Sun Setting in the Middle of the Afternoon

The three people fishing are wondering the same thing.
The end of daylight saving time is for the birds. Before I knew it it was time to race to the water to get a sunset. And, the sun seems to have moved in a totally different direction than a few weeks ago.
I went to the boat launch to catch it through the boat masts and all of the boats of the fishing fleet were gone. The parish government finally found a spot for them next to their old Bucktown home that they were thrown out of by the Corps of Engineers. They are now located behind the Coast Guard station in Lake Pontchartrain. The pelicans have not found them yet but I am sure that is just temporary.

I really don't like it either Coleen. Coming out of work into the dark is such a let down. But Neal Nye is correct, it would be late before we ever had a sunrise, Kerry

Beautifully captured. I'd vote for a continuation of daylight savings time year-round.

I know. It is hard to get used to, isn't it? Beautiful sunset capture and I'm sure this is just as nice as the one you were trying to get.

Take it while you can & don't blink !!
Neal Nye06-Nov-2007 12:47
But daylight time at this time of year means the day's half over before the sun comes up! You got a beautiful shot regardless of what time it was!

Gorgeous sunset Coleen, lovely composition. I really don't like this time of year, I feel like it is dark for way too long!

Awesome photo !!! Even if it's early. We were waiting to run into town yesterday to take some photos of the Sunset Limited pass through at 1130. We were surprised
when we heard it coming - almost 45 minutes early. Forgetting it left Los Angeles on Daylight Savings Time, and it was now Regular Time. Hopefully our bodies will
get used to CST before we return to DST.
