The Seven Sisters Oak
March 2007 Coleen Perilloux Landry

The Seven Sisters Oak

President of the Live Oak Society

This oak has a trunk girth of 38 feet 11 inches. Foresters have declared it to be over 1200 years old.
It is located two blocks from Lake Pontchartrain in Lewisburg, Louisiana (Mandeville).
It withstood the devastating winds of Hurricanes Betsy and Katrina and still stands majestically spreading its beautiful limbs to shelter the birds, the wildlife and the people.
