Lions, Louisiana

This steamboat gothic house is celebrating its 150th anniversary. It is about 45 miles west of New Orleans on the Great River Road. It is open to the public for tours.

Nice architecture but very well presented too, with the tree in the foreground. The cloudy day was perfect for revealing the details in the recessed areas.

Lovely mansion in fantastic condition. I really like the big old tree in the foreground. Bet it's been there as long as the dwelling.
