The French Quarter Is Blooming at 10 a.m.
12 April 2006 Coleen Perilloux Landry

The French Quarter Is Blooming at 10 a.m.

Chartres Street in New Orleans

The French Quarter is the oldest part of the City and is built on the highest ground in the City. It did not receive floodwater but did suffer structure and roof damage from the high winds of Katrina.
I was pleasantly surprised to see all the galleries and balconies in full bloom and the streets mostly clean. COME SEE FOR YOURSELF--Jazz Fest begins in two weeks.
