Void of the mature magnolia trees and huge cedars it held for almost a century, the courtyard will experience a rebirth when members of the kindergarten class plant one magnolia in ceremonies on January 3. The school is re-opening on January 3 for the first time since Katrina for the lower grades only. High school students will return January 18.
