Ursuline Inner Courtyard

Designed as a French Courtyard enclosed within four walls this courtyard is the crown jewel of Ursuline. It is private enough that the nuns take daily walks here and say their prayers. Many parties and galas are held here by the Alumnae and the annual Homecoming always features a New Orleans jazz brunch in this Courtyard.
There were beautiful goldfish in the fountain/pond but I did not look to see if they are still there or if they swam away in the flood waters.

I remember feeding those goldfish as a child. My great-aunt Sister Mathilde, was a nun at Ursuline. We used to go to visit her often with my grandmother.
