Ship Named "Haiancheng"

Montz, Louisiana

When growing up along the Mississippi River we would sit on the river bank in the summertime and guess the origin of the ships before they came into full view. That is how I learned so many flags of different countries.

What a great old river. Don't you wonder about all the places this ship has been and what seas it has been through to get there and what the people are like that take care and handle the ship?

A lot have the flags of places such as Panama or Monrovia, but they might have multi-national crews. People from just about every country on earth pop up and down that famous river!

Big ship. I can see the flag but not the details. From the name it does sound like China.

What a nice memory and how nice to re-vist the place you grew up and were your memories are. Unfortunately I would have to travel across the sea to see my places again. Nice shot.

Reminds me of one of the first apartments I had which was on the LAX flight path. I could name every airline from 100 feet away.
