A Very Hot Eagle

Usually this eagle would have left for Canada the first week of May. However, their one eaglet did not hatch until February (usually New Year's Day is their hatch) and is still learning to fly and hunt so this parent stayed behind to care for it. It is 90 degrees in the shade.

A good parent, but I hope they both make it out of there soon. V

That's way it's our American symbol - never give up!

A perfect pose for you out on the end of that branch, beautifully captured, V.

Well captured Coleen. The few Eagles nesting here have already had their young several weeks ago.

Wildlife, for the most part, cares for its young better than many humans! :)
