Indigo Bunting (female)

They arrived in my garden hungry and tired from their long flight across the Gulf of Mexico. After they rest and refuel they will fly off to places more northern.

Good that you are a safe spot and some food and water for them. Very pretty bird!

Terrific shot of this pretty female Coleen. I don't think I've ever even seen a female. Must look for one next time I spot a male.

Very nice detail and color. Looks puffed up because of the cold?

Pretty little bird. I hope she got well fed after her long trip.
