Shrimpboats

I did not take this today. And, it was taken with my Canon Powershot G5, a camera I love and is now at the repairshop. "Someone" dropped my 300mm. lens and broke it and it, too, is at the Canon shop. This is the time of year I NEED the long lens for the baby birds. Does everyone get in a bad mood when their lens is in the shop?

Canon PowerShot G5
1/250s f/4.0 at 10.2mm full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

I'm glad you rescued this beautiful photo but sorry to hear about your camera problems. Yes, it is very upsetting to be without a camera or lens.

Hopefully Canon will be rapid. I've been fortunate with my few experiences. So sorry Coleen.

Hi Coleen,

It's a very nice photo indeed, even if it was with your Power Shot.
And YES, I will have a heart attack if my 400mm F2.8 Nikon lens has to go into the shop! LOL

they look very top heavy!
I have 3 camera bodys and 2 200mm lenses, got to be prepared for break downs ;-)

It is frustrating for you, I'm sure. I haven't had anything repaired yet (knock on wood!)
This is a beautiful photo! V

I have a Canon G12 I use a great deal.
I'm concerned my 24-105 lens may need some repair (soft focus) so I' dreading sending that in.

Love the light in this. I hear y'all are getting the rain that hit here a few days ago. Wonderful image!

The G5 did a fine job on this, wonderful exposure, nice color.

I know how you feel, my 24-105 went nuts on me right when I got me new 5D Mark III. It did it two weeks before our cruise. I ordered a new one from Canon and had it shipped second day and after getting back, I shipped the broken one off to be repaired. Now I have two and will not have that problem again. Just wish I had two of every lens I have. Canon does do great work on them and it will be like new when you get it.

Nope, that's why I use the less expensive point and shoots, throw'em away if they break! :-) Well, not quite, it's like losing an old friend! Good luck, hope the repairs work to your satisfaction!
