Lewisburg as seen from Pontchartrain Causeway

Lake Pontchartrain Causeway.

The north shore of Lake Pontchartrain can be reached by traveling the longest bridge over water in the world, the 25 miles Lake Pontchartrain Causeway, connecting Metairie to Lewisburg. Hundreds of thousands of people travel it every day in their commute to New Orleans. The area was once a small community and one which was considered a summer resort. Now, everyone is flocking to the northshore and houses are springing up like mushrooms.
Lewisburg is home to the more than 1200 year old live oak "Seven Sisters" which has a girth of 39 feet and is the President of the Live Oak Society and grand champion tree in the U. S.
And, yes, it was a driveby shooting.

A nice shot from a moving vehicle. I'm just glad I don't have to commute over a 25 mile long bridge!

I like the commentary, nicely photographed even if it's a drive by.

Looks like they have a nice view and at least the houses look pretty and aren't cookie cutters. Nice drive by.

It must be grand to drive over that bridge. Great drive-by shot! Looks like they're putting up some grand homes...
