This is one of the many rabbits that people have dropped off at the Park. There has been a great increase in abandonment of rabbits and chickens, probably Easter gifts. The Park has no staff to care for the animals and they are at the mercy of the elements, unleashed dogs and wild children. Animal protection organizations have assisted the Park in trapping and relocating them to homes or animal refuges.
The chicken population has grown to over 400 with some of the most beautiful hens and roosters seen outside of a poultry catalog.
