Ship in Fog

Mississippi River in Louisiana

We have broken a hundred year old record for the most rainfall in December. Perilloux Place received over 14 inches of rain in six days causing us to cancel (at the last minute) our 19th annual "Light the Lights" party last night. The ground is thoroughly saturated and there is standing water. We have had thick fog for several days and nights and thunderstorms intermingled. I am not happy.

You must be happy with this shot though! It's slightly surreal how the ship looks like it's floating in the air.

Oh what a shame...all your preparation too. It is a beautiful photo but I'm sure you would like to see it under a blazing sun !!

Hope the rest of your holidays turn out better, Coleen

I just heard that you had broken the record this morning on GMA.....and it is only the fifteenth! Wow....but this is a wonderful image. They said it will be 20 inches soon. I don't blame you for being unhappy!

This is amazing. I don't think I've ever seen fog that thick. What a fantastic image of that ghostly ship.

And we're sorry to tell you, we're sending more your way. Fog cleared here with the downpour, but supposed to return tonight.

Your foggy image is splendid!

I bet the fog horns were going, our ferries yesterday needed to use them all day!
