Anhingas Keep Each Other Company During Nesting

Unlike most birds I have seen, the anhingas, like the comorants, stay close to each other throughout the nesting period. See Earl Arboneaux's image of nesting comorants at http://www.pbase.com/image/111767270.

Interesting observation. Usually the egrets take turns on the nest, one foraging for food while the others nests.
