Snowstorm of December 2008

Snowstorm of December 2008

Lafreniere Park

We seldom have snow in southeast Louisiana, especially a snow storm like this.
I have on my snow boots which I haven't worn since 1980 skiing in North Carolina.
Please check Breland's beautiful shot of my house in the falling snow
at http://www.pbase.com/image/106941668 and Scott Schexnaydre's shot at http://www.pbase.com/image/106978698.
The snow fell for about 4 hours.

I lived in Louisiana as a child, happy days. It snowed once and was a wonder to us children, lovely shot, lucky you, no snow here!! Happy New Year to you and your family. PS I still make gumbo,

Snow is wonderful when it’s rare. You look amused and happy in this unusual environment!

I heard about your snow on the news and couldn't wait to come see your photos. How fabulous. We had a very light one.....didn't cover the ground. Love this one.
You look wonderful, by the way!

Heard you had about 4" of the white stuff! That's not fair, we've only had about 2" this season so far!

Might as well enjoy it, it won't last like mine will! :-)

It just started snowing in Ohio about a half hour ago... Hoping to go out and see if anything sticks and get a shot of it! :D Of course, I will have to post it someplace else. :(
