Grand Isle - Catching Gulf Crabs for Supper

The grandfather had five dozen crabs in his barrel.

P. S. A month after this photo was taken, two hurricanes, Gustav and Ike visited this island and this scene is no longer.

No doubt a favourite pastime through the years...a lot of that done here in our state too...conditions being as similar as they are between your climate & ours.

Sounds like a great catch! As a child and youth, I went crabbing nearly every day! Memories.
