This is an invitation card to attend a collective photography exhibition about Egypt, held in in Tokyo Japan, on 8th - 14th June 2006.
The exhibitors are photographers members of the Photographic Society of Japan who travelled on a shooting trip to Egypt on Febraury 2006, in a kind of a photographic culture exchange programme between the two countries.
The photos on the card are for two Japanese group pictures shot beside the pyramids and sphinx (It is a Japanese traditoion of recording all events by photos):
1) The 1st photo is for a group of Japanese Samuray (Military Officers) visiting Egypt in 1861 (A very rare and unique photo of its kind).
2)The 2nd photo is for the members of the Photographic Society of Japan during their visit to Egypt in Febraury 2006 ( shot at the exact same site of the samuray photo but 145 years later).
If you are in Tokyo, you are most welcome to visit the exhibition, I am participating with few photos, or if you can't visit but are intrested, just follow up this site and gallery, as I'll be posting more photos for the event latter. Many Thanks..
