Hanabi

"Hanabi" is the Japanese fireworks celebrated and displayed in special festivals that usually take place in different cities in Japan within August of each year.. "Hanabi" in Japanese language consists of two connected Japanese words, (Hana= Flower + Bi= Fire), thus Hanabi is the "flower of fire", which matches with its act, guess you are not surprised..
Originally fireworks was invented in China, but Japan added to its technique and artistry what make it unique and different from the rest of fireworks in the whole world..
Some of my Japanese friends told me that the Japanese culture look at the joy of hanabi as the "Pleasure of the moment", for it only takes few short seconds for its colours and light to fade, which make it precious to watch and enjoy as it lasts, exactly like the "Sakura", The cherry blossoms which stay on its trees for only 15 days per year, and that is what makes it precious, valuable, enjoyable and waited for by the Japanese people.
For myself I look at the amazing Hanabi from a different vision, as out of the thunder explosions and dreadful bombing sounds that is usually accompanied in my mind with dustruction, fear or even death, emerge wonderful lights in charming forms and shapes, that may bring calmness to the soul and joy to the heart, thus not all what you may hear is the truth to what you may see..
Regarding fireworks photography, I guess a photographer is always amazed with the results after shooting the fireworks, for as much mastery of techniques and experience, you never know what colour the firework will be, which direction it will explode and how long it will take till it fade.. Hence,it is free drawing with light.. Good Luck..
