The Big Leagues

CUBA

Most little boys dream of being in the big leagues at some point. After our taxi driver Osvaldo mentioned the ball was a mere bundle of old socks melded together with some rubber, I felt instant regret at not putting some balls and gloves into my suitcase along with everything else. I had managed to pack some tubes of toothpaste, toothbrushes, aspirin, ibuprofin, razor blades and some old cosmetics and was giving these out as we went.

I love baseball and this image is very special. Some great cuban players are in the big leagues and I imaging
this is how it all started. V

what a vibrant stance...pity the aspiring young players can't even afford a ball..a bundle of socks won't get many home runs..

Wonderful and effective story telling shot. The building looks like an archaeological site more than a building that was probably built in the last century.. ~BV~
