last Norfolk ferry from Scheveningen

Saturday was the day the last ferry of the Norfolk line left our harbour of Scheveningen (The Hague). Norfolk has been sailing from Scheveningen to Folkstowe for over 40 years. Yesterday they moved to Vlaardingen (Rotterdam). And because we didn't want this event to pass in silence we organized an event (we is a few architects in The Hague with nostalgic feelings for the blue ships of Norfolk). We had a little exhibition in the harbour and a grand sail out parade with lots of boats following the last ferry. The firebrigade and hundreds of people where on the piers on both sides as a goodbye.

The colour of the sky and boat nicely compliment each other, and that little boat gives a good sense of scale.Looks like that cloud is pointing the way. Sounds like it was quite an
emotional event.

Thanks, Sebas for your kind explanation. It's a beautiful farewell, with the blue ship, the blue sky and the blue sea. How perfect! Great efforts by you and your team. Voted.
