It was very interesting watching hummingbirds being banded.
The biologists say they are very difficult to catch, and not just because they are so small.
They are smart birds, and it is tough to get them into a large net pen. This pen was roughly
12' (3.7 meters) tall, 15' deep, and 12' wide. It is very difficult to "herd" them into the pen.
