Hey, thanks very much for the kind words and the very interesting info.
Re. Dunbar: I know his methods very well, and they're great, as he puts it, for normal people in normal circumstances. I have 50 dogs at my rescue centre, and many come in with issues. We've had clicker experts come in and tell us that they have no idea how to combat the problems that concern us most: aggression. So, we've been using Cesar's methods, and they work. I also go to people's houses and teach them, for free, what I've learned from watching Cesar's methods, and every single time the owners are amazed at the improvements their dog can make in such a short time when allowed to relinquish their perceived leadership role. I don't teach alpha rolling nor chest jabbing; I just teach authoritative posture and action, positive mind set, ignoring bad behaviour, rewarding good, leading the walk, and eating first before the dog. It works like magic, and the dogs become much more relaxed and happy. I admit I haven't used Dunbar's methods, but we do now have a staff member studying at a police dog training school to learn their obedience training and correction methods.
The CAT method looks very interesting, but the link showed the DVD as being way out of my price range. I very much like the idea behind it and will try it on some of our semi-feral dogs. For aggressive dogs, I usually just approach the fence and sit ignoring the snarling animal, as I've learned from watching Cesar Millan. Within seconds, the dog always stops being aggressive and instead starts to smell me, head lowered. Within a minute or so, the once snarling dog will turn his back and lie down, and I go in and stroke him. Always it seems like a miracle, to me as much as any audience, but it works. No dominance on my part, nor returned aggression; just calm assertiveness.
But I do love learning more, so I will check both these out a bit more - thank you!

Hi there! I have enjoyed looking through your beautiful pictures, and admiring your great altruistic adventures. I saw you're interested in behavior modification-- next time you're doing behavior research, you might like to check out the Constructional Aggression Treatment developed by Dr. Jesus Rosales-Ruiz and Kellie Snider of North Texas University's Applied Behavior Assessment graduate school. It's an interesting scientific approach to modifying aggressive behavior. Also an article regarding Ian Dunbar and Cesar Milan, which gives another perspective on dominance theory: http: //dogtime. com/ cesar-millan-and-ian-dunbar. html.
