AnimalsTaiwan is a non-profit organization made up of Taiwanese locals and expats dedicated to preventing suffering among other animals who share this island. We focus on rescuing, rehabilitating, returning or rehoming stray animals discovered in dire need of help. The biggest problems we see are limbs mauled by gin traps, necks cut open by elastic bands, debilitating skin diseases, and injuries sustained from being hit by cars. We never euthanize an animal unless its suffering is certain never to end and its life improve. We currently have over 40 dogs and about 8 cats awaiting rehoming. Most are fully recoverd and in great health; the others are missing a limb or two or bear the scars from their ordeal. All are taught to trust people again and to accept a human companion as leader.
