Longwood Gardens - Kennett Square, PA

The Chrysanthemum Festival is in full bloom at Longwood.
This is their famous Thousand Bloom Chrysanthemum.
Actually 1523 individual flowers in bloom at the same time on a single stem.
This is the only thousand bloom mum outside of Japan.
This horticultural process was developed in Japan.
Horticulturists from Longwood went to Japan to learn the process.
