Yvette Crockell

Name: Yvette Jean Crockell
Residence: Orangevale, Ca.
My Bike: Santa Cruz Superlight (mountain) and Specialized Allez (road)
How I support my Bike Habit: First and most important: I have the most supportive husband in the world. Next, I’m a pharmacist consultant and I sell Cookie Lee Jewelry on the side for extra money to help fund my Bike Habit!

Best Time on the Bike: My very first Mountain Bike Ride with my husband Dave back in 1996. We rode the Salmon Falls Trail here in the Sacramento area, which I still consider to be the most technical ride in our area. Riding stuck like glue after that (along with a few rocks )…“It’s all his fault”.

Worst Time on the Bike: Can’t think of one. The worst time on a bike still beats the best day at work.

Favorite Post-Ride Food: A Subway Sandwich

Grab Bag: My best times are road riding with my family. Dave rides our tandem with Cayla our 6 year old, while I pull Hope, our 2 year old in her Burly Trailer. Hope has it the easiest, with her etch-a-sketch in one hand and always food in the other. No matter how hot or long the ride, I could ride for days more because I’m with them!
