Resume: I signed up for my first triathlon because I was afraid of the water and I wanted to learn how to swim. Three years later, I’ve done dozens of races, including three Half Ironmans.
Goals: Finish Ironman Arizona in April of 2008 in under 16:59:59.
My ride: A gorgeous black and blue Orbea Opal built up as a tri bike.
Best time on a bike: Any time I’m flying through Camp Pendleton with the wind at my back.
Worst time on a bike: A two hour ride on a new saddle that HURT.
Favorite post ride food: Starbucks non-fat chai with vanilla
Favorite post RACE food: Fried pickles with ranch dressing, tomatoes with a ton of salt, Honey Dijon potato chips
What I do when I’m not on a bike: I’m a mommy to a mini-Bella. My fantastic daughter, Abby, is already an accomplished runner. At the age of 4, she has five medals from all the “Kid’s Mile” runs she’s done. And talk about flair- she likes to wear fairy dresses, wings, and (at the Turkey Trot) a Pocahantas costume.
