Résumé: Do I need one? OK, how about...why do I ride/race? I do it because when I ride and run and swim, I think of my cousin Ben, who died before his 25th birthday. He had Leukemia. When it's really hard and I don't know if I can keep going, I think about him and I know I can do it.

Bikes I ride: Schwinn road bike purchased for a song from a lawyer who should have known better. (yeah, I know, I should have a better bike but I like my Schwinn and that’s what matters.)

How I support my Bike Habit: Network Administration

Best Time on the Bike: The Cinderella Classic. I did it for the first time this year (2005) and it was great. I had a kidney stone start trying to pass about 2 weeks before the ride, and I was in the hospital having it removed 3 days before the ride, so I was really proud of myself for getting out there and finishing. My urologist was proud of me too.

Worst Time on the Bike: I did this one training ride when it was really cold out, and I thought my toes were going to snap off. Did I mention it was really cold? I really hope that’s as bad as it ever gets for me.

My Motto: Fully live every day. But without being perky, because that’s just annoying.

Favorite Post-Ride Food: Giant omelette.
