Check out my blog (www.vbtrigirl.blogspot.com)

Race Category: Triathlon/Road/Cyclocross

Residence: San Diego girl lost in Washington DC

Résumé: Bought a bike in Mar 2005, raced my first triathlon in May 2005, and was hooked!
2005 Spring Sprint Tri: 1st in division
2005 San Diego Int Tri: 3rd in division
2006 Rosarito to Ensenada 50mile bike race: 1st overall http://www.rosaritoensenada.com/
2006 Spring Sprint Tri: 1st in division
2006 Ironman Baja 70.3: 5th in division, qualified for Ford Ironman 70.3 championship in Clearwater, FL
2006 General Smallwood Int Tri: 2nd in division, qualified for USAT National Championships
2007 Winter Solstice Training Crit: DFL!!!! But I had a blast :-)

My Bikes: 2004 Felt F60 (well dented), 2006 Cervelo Dual tri bike (I LOVE it!), custom Kona Queenie VB Cyclocross bike, and last but certainly not least on the weight scale, my VERY HEAVY Trek MTB

How I support by Bike Habit: Naval Officer, spend a lot of time on trainers on the ship in bad seas, and try to date guys who like buying me bike gear! :-)

Best Time on the Bike: Winning the first-ever timed Rosarito to Ensenada 50 mile bike ride in Baja April 2006. I had "15 minutes" of international fame with free cerveza and tequila for about 3 hours!!

Worst Time on the Bike: Having to tell my now ex-boyfriend that he was right, apparently one shouldn't go 25mph across wet railroad tracks at anything less than a 90 degree angle. (I have the roadrash scars, broken bike, and another failed relationship to prove it)

My Motto: The faster you go, the sooner you're done(and can eat), so "Suck it up, Princess!"

Favorite Post-Ride Food: Dylan's eggs benedict at Americana in Del Mar, CA. Very well done eggs, very soft bacon!!
