Resume: Brand new to cycling racing in Fall ‘06, I confess that I already have a SERIOUS CYCLOCROSS ADDICTION !
Before that? Long-time swimmer who’s been trying triathlons for a few years, but cycling is much more fun Swimming since ~ 1985 (age group awards at state/provincial/national levels, a few state/provincial records), Triathlon since ~ 2003 (age group awards at local and regional events, Sprint and Olympic distance), Cyclocross in 2006 (sometimes middle of the pack, sometimes dead last – which is what makes ‘cross so fun!)
How I support my bike habit? Developing new vaccines for livestock and pets, “inheriting” my husband’s bikes whenever possible, and keeping our local bike mechanics supplied with cookies
Ultimate recovery foods: pad thai, sushi, Founder’s dry hopped pale ale, and more sushi

Best time on a bike: “Exploring” -- intentionally taking an extra turn just to “see where the road goes”, getting a little (or a lot) lost, and riding far longer than I had planned. (Happens a-l-l the time.)
Worst time with a bike: Post-cross race bike washing … ugh.
What’ll keep me motivated in 2007? Training, to justify more cooking & eating; cooking & eating so I’ll have to train more!
