2001 – Bought a Trek hybrid because I disliked my evil boss and needed an outlet.
2002 – Midnight Madness (my first road ride)
2003 – Cycle Eastlake
2003 - Ensenada to Rosarito 50 mile, more like 70+ because my kind hubby let me think I dropped him while he helped some bleeding fallen chickie change her tire. Spent an extra 20 miles searching for each other over cliffs, in ambulances and among a sea of 10,000 cyclists at the finish line fiesta. Those are some emotional reunion pics at the fiesta finish!
2003-2004 pregnancy hiatus.
2005 Long Beach Marathon - dropped husband w/baby in tow on her Trek Doodlebug.
2006 – Long Beach Crit 7/06.
Goals: To be a role model for my young daughter. See my 1-year-old and husband cheering me on at the finish line of a road race.
My Bikes: Trek 2200 (aka "Wings") and a Trek Hybrid that I used to ride to work through 35 miles of crazy San Diego hills and traffic! How did I ever ride road without clips!?!

Best Time on the Bike: When I click in.

Worst Time on the Bike: I won’t lie that in those beginning days of riding the hybrid, I once almost threw my bike across a treacherous mountain that was kicking my butt. Only once!
My Motto: Any day on the bike is better than no day on the bike. Si se puede!
Favorite Post-Ride Food: Chicken breast sandwich and fries from Mr. Peabody’s (dive bar) on Friars after riding against Mission Bay headwinds.

Grab Bag: I am excited to meet and ride with other Bellas out there. I can’t promise I’ll win any races, but I know I’ll try hard and have fun. My bike has changed my life for the better. I never knew I could have so much fun sweating, getting grimy and working myself to the limits!
