IN MEMORY OF P.C. JOHN ATKINSON! WINDSOR POLICE
I have relatives in Ontario Province of Canda and I have a Texas peace officer certification. I just now learned about the death of this brave law enforcement officer and I would like to send my heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and co-workers.
I guess only another officer can understand what it is like and I lost my own cousin who was a patrol officer March 28,2009. TO PROTECT AND SERVE means exactly that.
It reminds me of the Scripture in the New Testament when Jesus tells the thief who was crucified with him that "THIS DAY YOU WILL BE WITH ME IN PARADISE." If Jesus is willing to bring Him to Heaven HOW MUCH BETTER WELCOME WILL HE PROVIDE FOR THE PEACE OFFICERS WHO FIGHT FOR THE RIGHT!
Officer Atkinson is in the fine company of all of the other heroes who have protected and served! In the presence of Our Father! Of this, I have NO doubt!
God bless you all. He is in good hands.
i know his son
i hope that his famly is ok
It's been over two months and it still seems sureal to me. I pray that we never have to experience a police funeral like this again. It reminds us all to well that our men in blue are at risk every day. Thank you all for the job you do.
Scott...thank you so much for sharing your photos. You did your friend proud. I'm so glad I knew him and was able to experience that smile and sense of humour first hand. Your tribute has touched me immensely.
What beautiful, meaningful photos. The fact that they were taken by a fellow police officer makes them all the more special. Wonderful work, Scott! Thank you for capturing such an important event, so that those of us who couldn't be there to pay our respects can view these images and truly appreciate the sacrifices police officers make for us every day.
Very nice gallery Scott....wonderful images to document the day.
These pictures are great. Very respectful and what a great way to honor PC Atkinson. Thank you
Those are great Scott!
Your broad variety of photo concepts has worked well to capture the poignancy of the day.
