..the crash of the last Thunderbird #6. I barely caught this, my camera then would take 10 sec to record an image. Was sitting in the VIP grand stands, couldn't have asked for a more perfect view of the F-16 Thunderbird crash. The pilot survived, he ejected 140 ft above the ground, you can see his parachute at left. This photo was on TV, Internet and maybe CNN as I recall?? (uggh...!) I had lucky good seats, most of the crowd couldn't see the crash that well since folks were looking through other folks in front of them..and back then DSLR's were fairly obscure (Canon 300D had just come out maybe).
