Weardale Steam Railway

This railway re-opened on Saturday July 17, 2004. It has taken 11 years to succeed in getting this re-opened and running through the countryside of Weardale. The last train to use this track was in 1953.

I'm glad this suceeded. I went along the line on a Hertfordshire Rail Tours charter about 10 or 15 years ago, and it was a delightful line. Hoping for better weather on your next trip..
