I have stumbled on this site by accident because I was looking at the Dave Douglass stuff. There is then a link. so, whoever set it up...thanks. Superb photographs! The gala was great this year too. Keith, I wonder if you did a gallery for 2008 what changes there would be? Each year, though similar is different.( if that makes sense). The funny thing is - I live in the Midlands - and you tell people, outside the labour movement and sometimes in it, about The Gala and there being 50 - 70,000 people there they look at you in disbelief.I don't know, maybe The Sunday Mirror and The Observer may do a sensitive piece on The Gala next year...oh yeah! And there goes a pig flying along in a glider...

I am an American researching my grandfather who was a Welsh coal miner. Couldn't believe some of your photographs; they are phenominal - especially the sculpture of "The Miner by Brian Brown. Would love to know where the sculpture is and whether it would be possible for me to buy a few prints of it. There are many of us in this Welsh-American family who would love to have copies.
