As my "new" engine came out of storage after resting for 42 years.

All the oil cavities looked like new and the oil looked as fresh as the day I parked it.
As the water evaporated from the cooling system, some areas rusted and grew crud.

I think that 4-bladed fan is my original Flathead fan. I should have kept it to sell on Ebay.

The 780 cfm dual feed Holley that sits on the engine here has been removed.
I used it for about a year in 1969-1970. It's a classic.
Except for needing to be cleaned, it's like new.
Anyone want it? It's one of the greats of that era.

My intention is to make my truck into a freeway cruiser for picnics and photo road trips,
so I downsized to a 650 cfm Edlebrock.
