Stan, that is one incredible photograph. Congrats to you, the very talented MUA and your lovely model Julie. Do you just love it when a plan comes together?

I'm just another of your many fans.

Earl, I'm still thinking about your question.
Without Julie as the foundation for stunning shape, style and beauty, then that costume wouldn't look like much.
Without Julie to hold everything in the right place, you would be looking at a small bucket of gooey, sticky bandages ;-)

Earl, that's a good question. I am not the talented MUA who applied the makeup, but I think this was the basic process:

flowing pieces of white, gauze like, whispy fabric hanging from her waist and arms, liquid latex rubber, large size gold sparkle material patted into the latex. We were outside. She stood in front of a propane blast air heater that looked like a little jet engine until the latex was dry.

I selectively sharpened the sparkles a little in photoshop, but other than that the costume/makeup is as you see it. Liquid latex rubber is thicker than body paint.

I was shooting this without a flash. I was using the light of area lights for the side and back lighting, and to make the fog machine fog pop out. For me, a flash would have killed this picture unless I had more time to test and fiddle. I was shooting fast, hand held as she was moving around. That explains the grain and slight motion blur.

The heater was blowing the parts of her costume that were the strips of gauze.

Yes, her breasts were just as perfect as you see them here, because that's what you are seeing ... nothing but liquid latex painted on with glitter.

That's Julie :-)

That is an amazing costume she's wearing. Is it real (as in fabric coated with something, then photographed), or did you add something post-photography? The reason I ask is because of the way it forms beneath her breasts--somehow I find it had to imagine fabric that does that.

Just curious. I love it either way. ADVthanxANCE
