Sample images from a modified (by maxmax.com) Canon Rebel XT. The modification included replacement of the internal IR cut filter with an IR pass filter (715 nm). If you download the images and examine the individual channels in Photoshop you will see that infrared information is recorded in all three channels, but most strongly in the red channel (blue channel in these samples because the red and blue channels were swapped in Photoshop to create the false blue color of the RGB images). The original individual channels for IMG_477 are shown in the grayscale red, green, and blue images.
