Most probably the burning butts of two hunters, carelessly thrown away on a very hot day, caused the fire. 1400 ha (35000 acres?) of beautyful pine-tree-forest burnt.
A great part will recover, but especially the very old trees and those, which just had become green again after the fire, that happened 3 years ago, might not make it.
I am always amazed at how resilient nature is. Some pine cones actually need fire to open them and disperse the seeds. It is always sad to see so much distruction caused by the carelessness of someone. I like your use of light and shadow in the almost b&w compositions. Voted.
