Albinism is not the same thing as the lethal white gene. There are albino horses that live to adulthood - the lethal white is where the horse dies before or soon after birth.

This horse is a cremello.

so i have herd... lot of albino horses dont live at birth...thats so i have herd i am not sure.. but i can tell u for sure thats cremello cause the barn i attend has both.. and the differences between the 2 are tremendous there both andilusian stallions the eyes are different the crem has beautiful bright blue eyes and th albino has pink eyes also the skin under the coat is different the crem has a redish skin while the albino has a light pink skin.

It is definately a cremello. It could be seen as a an albino but it should be seen as cremello as others have said.

All horses that would be classified as 'albino' have red or pink eyes.

If the eyes are violet, blue, or any other colour, it is a type of colouring for the horse. Unlike humans, the creature is fully albino or not.

Albino horses don't exist, just to confirm... as far as i'm aware
an albino horse will not live till birth, or die very soon after.

I think this is not a albino. Horses can't be albino it's called cremmello or perlino, like vicktoriya said. It's aslo possible it has a white gen, but this is not very common.

Actually, true albinos can have blue eyes. it means they have a tiny bit of pigment but not enough to have pink eyes. it happens very often in humans.
Vicktoriya 17-Dec-2006 06:57
Actually this horse is not an albino. Note the blue eyes. If it was albino, the eyes would be a pink or red color due to lack of pigmentation. The color in this kind of horse is known as 'cremello'.
