Mark III focus #2

Two 100% crops to demonstrate what I wrote at http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/546875/15/4755145

Here's what I mean by acceptably and very sharp. OK, that said, these crops are jpegs resaved from a quality 5 L Jpeg (I shoot RAW + Jpeg and use the Jpegs for editing and/or transmitting on deadline, otherwise I convert from RAW) and haven't had the chance to mess around with the original raw files... but I think the difference is visible anyway.
For newspaper purposes, the acceptably sharp image will sharpen up nicely enough, so it's not so much of a concern here, but knowing that the camera/lens combo is capable of better, but that only seems to click once in a while, is where I am somewhat disappointed with the camera.
